It’s amazing when you for a brief moment find yourself totally alone in the subway.
Shanghai’s population in 2013 is estimated at 23.9 million - nearly twice the population of New York City.
Finally I have my own scanner at home. Happiness! / Mr Scanner, we will have so much fun together you and I. 😄🍃🌸🌿🌾🌺

One main rule in Chinese Flower Arrangement are that it always has to be true to nature, never forced. Treat the flowers as if they are still in their natural environment reaching for the sun. Every composition should have the basic geometric forms. (my mom would be so proud!) 🔵🔺◾️🌾🌸🌿☀️
With a very gently puff blown down in the roses they slowly open up.
We where five people on the workshop, all with a love for flowers.
When we all where finished everyone was taking pictures, they said mine was “Very good”.
I will SO be back!
Yesterday at the Chinese Flower Workshop: It’s all very strict and you place everything in special areas, nothing is left to coincidence.
One (1) flower have the lead role in the arrangement, the other flowers are hiding, supporting around it. A flower can be shy, cocky, arrogant, in love…
All the green in the arrangement have one purpose: support and make the main flower look amazing. You should never have more than three (3) different plants / structures / colors / shapes. Never.
In China they have a saying regarding western flower arrangement: ”Flowers made by a blind person.”
I spent the evening in a Chinese Flower Arrangement workshop. It’s all about listen to nature and never exceed the number 3. 🌸🌿🌾
Shanghai is a never sleeping construction site.
